How a Portrait Day Actually Runs

Individual portrait days succeed on flow, not photography heroics. We set up a consistent station — backdrop, lighting and framing locked — and photograph class by class on a schedule agreed with the school, typically moving through 20–30 students per hour with a teacher escorting each group. Younger students get a patient, playful pace; older students move faster. Class group photographs are slotted into the same day, usually mid-morning when uniforms are still tidy and energy is manageable. A well-planned portrait day covers 250–300 students without disrupting more than a few minutes of any child's lessons.

What Parents Receive — and What the School Controls

After the shoot, images flow through a school-controlled process: the school reviews galleries first, then parents access their own child's photographs through a private gallery for downloads or print orders — no parent ever sees another family's children. Print packages, digital bundles and graduation add-ons are configured to the school's preference, and the school decides which (if any) images may be used in its own marketing, always within the consent documentation collected before the shoot. Nothing is published, reused or retained outside the terms the school sets.
